ADULTS

The Al dente experience

Following the introductory discussion with your dentist, and supported by a high-tech imagery system when necessary, your dentist will perform a complete examination in order to identify signs of cavities, no matter where they are, signs of deterioration of existing restorations, gum disease, tooth fractures or fissures, early signs of cancer of the mouth, and any other conditions that may affect your dental and oral tissues.

The next step, when appropriate, is a complete tooth cleaning and polishing by a qualified dental hygiene professional, whose job is to remove the tartar that even your most zealous oral care efforts cannot eliminate.

Finally, depending on the amount of time required, we will proceed with any required restorations, or arrange one or more future appointments.

Individual care

With it comes to dental and oral health, your needs change depending on your time of life. Adulthood is the time to be particularly vigilant about gum health, because gums that are in poor condition are among the main causes of tooth loss. It is a proven fact that three out of every four adults suffer from gum disease. The most widespread gum disease is gingivitis, which is the first manifestation of periodontitis (another gum disease). Bad breath and bleeding are the primary symptoms. This chronic gum infection, which is caused by bacteria, must be treated conscientiously, because it is increasingly evident that these bacteria play a role in the emergence of systemic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and can even cause stroke. Fortunately, modern diagnostic techniques and treatments make it possible to obtain excellent results.

When the inevitable occurs, and a tooth is too badly damaged to be repaired, or is missing, it must be replaced. In this area, we offer solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and durable, including crowns, bridges, and implants.

Furthermore, adults are most susceptible to cancer of the mouth, and your dentist will strive to detect it at its very beginnings. In fact, eight out of ten people survive mouth cancer five years following the diagnosis if the disease is diagnosed at its very beginnings.

For your future, for your health, and for your well-being, make an appointment today.
